Togo punches above its size in West African logistics. The deepwater Port of Lomé is one of the region's leading transshipment hubs, and the corridors running inland from it, together with the country's phosphate sector and its cotton, coffee and cocoa agriculture, create a genuine professional drone market. Togo also has a clearly structured drone framework: the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile du Togo (ANAC) administers registration, operating authorisations and pilot licensing, with defence and sector-ministry approvals layered on top.
What separates a productive fleet from an idle one is the support around it: correct platform selection, clean registration and authorisation paperwork, trained pilots, and a reliable service pathway. Aerosmart Africa is built around that full lifecycle rather than a single sale, which is why Togolese port operators, agribusinesses, survey firms and utilities treat us as a long-term partner.
Aerosmart Africa supplies the complete DJI range into Togo as an authorised DJI Enterprise and DJI Agriculture dealer, with delivery to Lomé, Sokodé, Kara and nationwide, ANAC regulatory guidance, and French-language training.
Ports, Logistics and Infrastructure. The Port of Lomé, the transshipment and container operations, and the corridors running north generate survey, volumetric and progress-monitoring demand, with thermal and zoom payloads supporting facility and structure inspection.
Phosphate and Mining. Togo's phosphate operations require stockpile volumetric survey, pit documentation and site monitoring, where mapping drones deliver results safely and far faster than ground survey.
Agriculture. Cotton, coffee, cocoa and oil palm across the central and plateau regions present spraying, spreading and crop-health mapping requirements at field scales where aerial application delivers a clear economic advantage.
Cement and Industry. Clinker and cement operations, and the wider industrial base around Lomé, generate quarry survey and plant-inspection demand.
Health Logistics. Togo's regulations explicitly anticipate drone transport of blood, vaccines and medicines, opening health-logistics use cases across the country.
Energy and Utilities. Power and water infrastructure require line, structure and reservoir inspection across spans where ground patrol is slow.
Drone operations in Togo are regulated by the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile du Togo (ANAC). The points below are practical guidance, not legal advice. Always confirm current requirements with ANAC or through Aerosmart's regulatory brief.
Registration / Immatriculation. Drones are registered with ANAC, which issues a nationality and registration mark to identify the aircraft and its owner.
Operating Authorisation. Depending on the operation, ANAC issues a declaration of operation (open category), an operating authorisation (specific category), or an RPAS operating certificate (ROC).
Defence Authorisation. A use authorisation is required from the Ministry of the Armed Forces (MINARM) covering overflight, landing, defence and national-security aspects.
Sector Authorisation. A specific authorisation is required from the ministry responsible for the activity, for example, the Ministry of Health for the conditions of transporting blood, vaccines and medicines.
Pilot Licence. Remote pilots must meet ANAC requirements; applicants for an authorisation, declaration or pilot licence must be at least 16 years old.
Approval Duration Rule. For one-off activities totalling 12 months or less, ministerial approval is not required; for cumulative activity beyond 12 months, the operator applies for approval from the Minister responsible for Civil Aviation, copied to ANAC.
Operating Limits. Flying within the perimeter of Lomé airport or near sensitive installations is prohibited, and standard visual-line-of-sight and daylight practice applies.
What Aerosmart Provides. A written Togo-specific regulatory brief in French covering registration, the operating-authorisation tiers and ROC, MINARM and sector-ministry approvals, pilot requirements and the 12-month rule, plus ANAC-compatible documentation with every purchase.
For port, phosphate and infrastructure survey, the Matrice 350 RTK with Zenmuse L2 handles stockpile and pit work while the Matrice 400 with Zenmuse L3 covers larger sites, both with a D-RTK base station for centimetre accuracy. For facility and structure inspection, the Matrice 30T or Matrice 400 with the Zenmuse H30T combines thermal and long-range zoom. For agriculture, the Agras T50 suits cotton and plantation crops and the T25 fits smaller holdings. For health logistics, the FlyCart 30 and FlyCart 100 carry samples and supplies. Aerosmart's pre-sale consultation matches airframe, payload and software to the mission.
Aerosmart supports operators nationwide, with concentrated demand in Lomé for ports, logistics, industry and government; Sokodé and Kara for agriculture and the central regions; and Kpalimé and Atakpamé. We deliver, configure, register and support fleets wherever your operation is based, and our French-language training teams travel to site.
Aerosmart Academy delivers training in French across Togo, including Lomé, Sokodé, Kara and the agricultural regions, structured around ANAC certification requirements and delivered on genuine DJI enterprise platforms.
